OUR STORY
The history of the GODET Group began in 1938 with rope manufacturing. With high expertise and keen to expand its product range to satisfy its customers, the family business has continued to grow throughout the years. Now the GODET Group and bringing together four strong brands, the company continues to write a wonderful story.
1938
Acquisition of Corderie de Lorraine by Raymond Godet
which later became
Corderie Godet
1970
Sons Maurice and Bernard Godet take over the reins and strengthen the size of the company by acquiring Corderie Lhermitte.
1980
Roland and Didier Godet move the headquarters to rue Lafayette to integrate a warehouse in the 18th arrondissement of Paris. The company will now be called Godet Industrial Ropeworks.
2001
Acquisition of Manufor Services
2014
After 10 years at the head of Manufor Services, Rémi Godet, 4th generation, takes over the reins of the family business
2015
Rémi Godet and Laurent Fauchez acquired and took over the management of the Gattegno company. At the same time, they created the special winch manufacturing department and the WARDEN Winches brand.
2018
Merger of the 3 companies Godet, Manufor and Warden Winches
2020
Godet and Manufor inaugurate their new headquarters in Roissy-en-France. The birth of the GODET Group is made official and brings together the Godet, Manufor and Warden Winches brands.
2022
4 years after the merger, Gattegno officially joins the Godet Group
