GODET Group Expertise Serving Major Construction Sites
A recognized leader for several decades in the fields of handling, lifting, and cable pulling, the GODET Group draws on solid expertise forged through a wide variety of field conditions and projects. Through its Gattegno brand—specialized in the design, sale, and rental of cable unwinding equipment—the group provides its know-how to the most technical construction sites across France.
Over the years, the diversity of challenges encountered and the quality of solutions provided have led numerous stakeholders in the Construction and Civil Engineering (BTP) and Utility Networks sectors to spontaneously call upon our teams. This relationship of trust is built on our ability to understand the specific stakes of each site and to offer adapted, reliable, and rapidly available equipment.
In this spirit of continuity, EHTP (NGE Group) naturally turned to the GODET Group for the Bacalan project in Bordeaux, a large-scale operation requiring robust, secure, and high-performance handling solutions.
A Major Project Managed with High-Performance Equipment
To execute this project, EHTP relied on a suite of equipment including a pair of 30T center-point drum stands (type F155C300), powered by an F306.21.CC hydraulic power pack. These two components work in tandem: the hydraulic unit powers the system that enables the controlled lifting and unwinding of the drums.
Unlike traditional spindle-based drum stands, the center-point model offers a major advantage: the center-point inserts directly into the rotation axis of the drum, eliminating the constraint of a through-axis (spindle). This design allows for work with wider drums while simplifying the transport and setup of the equipment.
Thanks to the hydraulic motorization integrated into the stands, drum rotation is smooth and precise, offering both operational flexibility and time savings on-site. This operating principle provides great versatility, making it possible to adapt the device to various drum formats without the need for heavy adjustments or additional parts. It is a solution particularly suited to modern construction sites where cable sections are larger and drums reach significant dimensions.
Technical Solutions Adapted to Your Site Needs
To ensure the smooth progress of the project, EHTP also deployed additional equipment:
Our 10T hydraulic pulling winch (type F230.100P), purchased a few years ago and used for cable pulling.
This equipment provided to EHTP optimized site productivity while maintaining a high level of safety. Their compatibility and performance demonstrate the technical coherence of our offering for handling and pulling works.
Experts at the Service of the Field
Beyond simply supplying equipment, our mission at the Bordeaux site involved supporting EHTP for two full days. Our technical teams provided comprehensive training for operators to guarantee:
Optimal use of the equipment;
Maximum safety on the job site;
Increased efficiency during the pulling and unwinding phases.
This personalized support illustrates our commitment to providing not just reliable products, but a global turnkey service. We make it a point of honor to transfer our know-how to our clients so that every project takes place under the best possible conditions.
