The GODET Group participated in the “Safety Day” organized by ENSIS on September 6 in Villeparisis. This annual event, essential for raising awareness of safety, brought together the ENSIS teams around various workshops, aimed at reinforcing good practices on construction sites.
A workshop dedicated to slinging: expertise and teaching
For the second consecutive year, the GODET Group took part in this day by hosting a workshop dedicated to slinging, with a particular focus on textile and chain slings and all the related safety rules. This 45-minute workshop brought together groups of 15 participants. Our experts covered all the essential topics for any user of this type of equipment:
Checking a sling before use : Participants learned how to carefully inspect a sling to ensure it is in good condition before use.
Mode of use : The optimal procedures for use, respecting safety standards, have been presented.
Safety rules and perimeter : Emphasis has been placed on the precautions to be taken to ensure safety around slinging operations.
Choosing a sling : The criteria to consider when selecting the right sling based on the specific needs of each task have been detailed.
Mistakes to Avoid : Common mistakes to avoid to prevent any incident have been reviewed.
Awareness and adoption of safe practices
This participation aimed to raise awareness among ENSIS agents of the dangers during lifting operations and develop good practices to ensure the safety of all ENSIS teams. Anthony and Vincent, representatives of the GODET Group, also took the opportunity to address the subject of slings that do not comply with safety standards. How to identify these non-compliant slings and how to adopt the right reflexes to ensure that operations run smoothly.
Distribution of educational materials
In order to perpetuate the lessons learned from this workshop, the GODET Group provided participants with various educational materials. These materials included illustrated guides that facilitated understanding of the procedures and provided key information on good slinging practices and the safety rules to be respected. Rulers designed to help choose slings based on the weight of the load were also distributed. These documents, designed as reference tools, ensure sustainable application of the practices taught during the workshop.
Commitment and lasting impact
The participation of the GODET Group in the ENSIS Safety Day demonstrates our constant commitment to the safety of our customers and partners. We offer our customers the products and services that allow you to carry out your operations in the best conditions. This day allowed our experts to deepen the knowledge of the ENSIS teams and to develop the adoption of good practices during lifting operations. We are delighted to have participated in this awareness day for field teams and to contribute to improving their safety.
